Greater Dover Foundation Awards a $3,000 Grant to Aid in Dover, Inc

Recently, Tom Burns and Scott Brown of the Greater Dover Committee Grants Advisory Board and Hugh Leahy of the Delaware Community Foundation presented a $3,000 grant to Aid in Dover, Inc. Aid in Dover, Inc. provides emergency diagnostic shelter care to homeless, runaway, neglected, dependent and abused children and youth. Referrals are accepted from community , state, and national referral sources. Individual, family and group counseling is available and educational, vocational and personality assessments are provided to help youth and their families identify and access available resources. Maximum duration of shelter stay is 15 days. Four shelter beds are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. when the shelter is filled to capacity, a waiting list is maintained on a first come basis. There is no fee for service.
